Starting with Basic Spanish Vocabulary

Vocabulary, vocabulary, vocabulary. There’s lots of it, so the sooner I start, the better. First, there’s a bunch of Spanish word-of-the-day sites, like these:

• Spanish Word of the Day from About.com — They also have an easy version made just for beginners.
• Spanish Word of the Day from Dictionary.com
• Learn Spanish: Word a Day from StudySpanish.com
• Spanish-Word-a-Day.com

There are also lots of pages on basic Spanish vocabulary — and I mean lots! So far I’ve looked through parts of these links:

• Spanish Quick Fix - Some basic vocabulary with audio.
• Spanish Vocabulary Tutorial - Lots of lessons, each with lots of exercises.
• Learn Spanish Vocabulary - About.com’s section on Spanish vocabulary.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! I hate memorizing stuff, so I’m just going to glance over some vocabulary for like five minutes a day and see what I soak up.
